How long will an estimate take?

• Honestly Handy is a small company with only 1 or 2 employees in peak season. It could take 1 to 5 days to see your job and another 3 to 5 days to receive your estimate. This all depends on the job size and how busy we are.

What is your hourly rate?

• Honestly, we don't charge by the hour. We Charge by the job. Why? Because it's too easy to rack up hours. We don't want you to be surprised at the end of the job. 

• The cost of each job will depend on where you are located and the scope of work. This way you know what to expect.

Is it possible for the job to cost more than quoted?

• Yes. In older homes and buildings, it's not always possible to see hidden problems. Sometimes these are discovered during demolition and installation.

Is there a job minimum?

• Yes. We do require a $100 minimum for any repair call. This does not include the cost of materials.

• It may be worth it to combine more than 1 job to save money.

Do I have to buy the materials?

• No need to worry. Your estimate will include labor, materials, and disposal fees in order to complete your project. We’ll be handling the entire project for you. If you have questions please call us at (204) 792-3216 .

How long will it take?

• It depends. Our typical repairs take anywhere from 1-5 days depending on the complexity of the project. But small renovation can take 2 or 3 weeks.

• Our goal and mission is to get you back to your home, or business, as soon as possible.

How soon can you get here?

• We can typically be at your home or business within 1-5 business days. However, this may change depending on the season and how much work is currently booked.

Who is my point of contact?

• The owner, Ryan, will be your contact.

Why can’t you just give me a quick estimate over the phone?

• Sometimes we can if it's a small repair. But in order for us to accurately give you an estimate, we need as many details as possible to provide you with the most accurate estimate.

What are your methods of payment?

• We Accept cash, bank draft, EFT or e-transfer only.

​

Do you provide plumbing, electrical, HVAC, gas, and other mechanical services?

• Yes, we do. We work hand-in-hand with fully licensed and insured mechanical sub-trades to provide these services. We've taken the time and vetted the best in the area so that you don’t have to.

• Some of this work we can do without calling a sub-trade in. But, by law, there are certain electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs we cannot do. This will be communicated to you during the estimating process.
