Toilet Repair / Replace

There are few household problems more distressing than a toilet which isn't doing its job. Even minor toilet annoyances can run up your water bill and stress you out.

Honestly Handy's rapid-response policy will put your mind at ease. If you call us with a toilet problem we'll get back to you within 24 to 48 hours, even if it's a weekend. We understand you don't want to let these problems go on a moment longer than you have to.

Running Toilets

Running toilets aren't just a problem for your water bill. They're annoying!

This can be caused by a bad flapper seal or flush valve. It can also be a sign of a clogged overflow valve.

A fill valve leak is another possibility. If you have one, the entire part will need to be replaced.

You may be able to see what's going on just by lifting the lid and looking inside the tank. If you see an issue with the flapper you might be able to replace it yourself. If you can't tell what's going on or aren't comfortable trying to fix your toilet, you can call us and we'll fix the problem fast.

Leaky Toilets

See standing water at the base of your toilet? You've got a problem! A toilet that's not even safe to use. Every time you do, you'll be sending sewage tinged water across your floor. Leave it there long enough and you'll start to see significant water damage, too.

The problem is usually an issue with the wax seal. This could be an issue of positioning, or it could have something to do with the way the toilet is bolted down. The wax ring goes bad sometimes, too.

This is a big job that requires the toilet to be temporarily removed. If you aren't careful you could end up doing all the work only to position it incorrectly. Let us handle the problem instead so you can be sure that you'll have a leak-free toilet when the work is done.

Weak Flushes

Thanks to hard water we see this problem a lot. You get weak flushes when calcium, lime, and other mineral deposits build up in the toilet bowl. These deposits restrict the flow of water and keep your toilets from flushing as they should.

There are other causes. For example, the water level might be too slow, or your flapper could be closing before the flush is complete.

Whatever the cause, it's a pain to live with! With our help, you won't have to.

Clogs & Overflows

Without a doubt, clogs and overflows are the most distressing problems any toilet can have. If you've been reaching for the plunger without much success, we can help. Often, the problem will be a clogged sewer line, impossible to reach or address from the house itself, especially if every toilet in your home is experiencing the problem.

We'll treat this issue like the emergency it is. Contact us right away if you are experiencing clogs. They won't get better on their own, and, like leaks, represent a sanitary hazard in your home.

Toilet Replacement

Toilets don't need to be replaced very often. Many will remain good for half a century or more.

Still, if your toilet's been damaged or isn't getting the job done, it may be time to consider a replacement. You might also want to take advantage of advancements in toilet technology, such as dual flushing or carbon filters. Or you might just want the most modern style for your bathroom.
